Greetings, It is exciting to be working for you in this great part of the State. Hagerstown has welcomed me with such warmth that it makes it difficult to not want to reach out and thank each and everyone of you individually. I am originally from Baltimore, MD. I grew up in Dundalk, on the Southeast side of the County, not far from where Francis Scott Key penned the National Anthem. I started flying in 2000 at KMTN in Middle River, MD where I obtained my Private Pilot’s license. I just visited there not too long ago and would you believe they still had my first solo t-shirt. Incredible! If you live in that area, then you need to check out their school, Phoenix Aviation. They are great people. After moving from Dundalk, I trained with 1WorldAero where I received my instrument rating. Terry was an excellent teacher and full of knowledge. If you live near the Fort Meade area, KFME, you need to fly with Terry. I moved again, and had to change flight schools due to the distance. So, I acquired my commercial license out of Gaithersburg, MD KGAI. The knowledge that I acquired helped me to transition into complex aircraft. While there I acquired my Multi-Engine Commercial License. Within a few months I was able to acquire my CFI and within a few more months I had my CFII as well. Soon after receiving my CFII, I was hired on as a flight instructor here in Hagerstown where I have made many friends. In the time that I have been here, I have had the privilege of soloing many pilots and even helping many more pilots acquire the dream of being licensed pilots. Sandra is a local who comes to us with enthusiasm and vigor. She works with the Civil Air Patrol, the FAA Safety Team, and volunteers her time in many other areas of Hagerstown. She was a 99’s scholarship recipient which allowed her to become a Certified Flight Instructor and we are excited to have her. |
